Texas man shows his appreciation of police by drugging them

TEXAS (NEWSCHANNEL 3) – Officers in North Texas got an unexpected gift this week. A visitor showed their appreciation by dropping cookies off to several departments.

The problem was that these weren't quite like grandma used to make. The good Samaritan had laced the cookies with LSD.

Investigators say a police dog noticed something wrong with the cookies, so they had them tested and found the drug. They say at least three officers had already eaten the cookies before the tampering was discovered.

No word on what kind of day the officers had after their little snack, but the man who brought the cookies was arrested.
