Comments 0 | Recommend 0NEW YORK (AP) - Authorities say they've disrupted a terror plot Saturday that could have caused "unthinkable" devastation.
They say the aim was to set off explosives in a fuel line that
feeds New York's Kennedy airport and runs through residential
neighborhoods.
U.S. Attorney Roslynn Mauskopf calls it "one of the most
chilling plots imaginable."
Authorities say three people have been arrested, including a U.S.
citizen born in Guyana who used to work at JFK. He's expected to
be arraigned Saturday in Brooklyn.
Two other men are in custody in Trinidad, including a former
member of Guyana's parliament. A fourth man is being sought in
Trinidad.
An indictment says all four have been charged with conspiring to
attack the airport by blowing up major fuel supply tanks and the
pipeline.
