Ford worker dies at Michigan stamping plant

WOODHAVEN, Mich. (AP) - A Ford employee has died in an accident at the company's Woodhaven Stamping Plant.

Spokeswoman Angie Kozleski says the automaker isn't releasing the employee's name at the request of the family. Ford also isn't releasing any details about Wednesday's accident.

Kozleski says Ford is conducting a joint investigation with state workplace safety regulators.

She says day-shift production was canceled, but the afternoon's shift reported as scheduled.

The Woodhaven plant employs more than 1,350 people.
