Man Dies While Crossing Street

ADA (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - An elderly man was killed while crossing the street. Police say the accident happened around 7p.m. Saturday near the 9800 block of East Fulton in Ada.
Donald Richard Heiman, 80, of Lowell parked his vehicle then attempted to cross east Fulton street towards his home.
He was struck by a 16-year-old female Lowel driver. Heiman died at the scene from crash related injuries.
Police say the area was dark and unlighted at the time of the accident.
Relatives say Heiman usually crosses the road to walk between their home and his own.
