Kalamazoo Boil Advisory Lifted
Comments 0 | Recommend 0KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The City of Kalamazoo has lifted a boil water advisory issued Tuesday.
At approximately 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, sample results showed water within the area affected by the Boil Water Advisory are negative. Therefore, the advisory is no longer in effect and residents and businesses may resume all normal uses of City water, including drinking and cooking.
Authorities with the Kalamazoo Water Department say that the break is at the intersection of Kilgore Road and Westnedge Ave.
Kilgore at Westnedge remains closed to through traffic between Westnedge Ave. and Duke St. The westbound detour is Westnedge Avenue to Whites Road to Duke St. The eastbound detour is Duke St. to Whites Road to Westnedge Ave. Northbound and southbound traffic is one lane in each direction.
