KALAMAZOO (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Western Michigan University students are entering into a new compact with their school.
Friday WMU President Dr. John Dunn outlined the Western Edge. It's a commitment from the university to ensure that every student succeeds.
WMU promises class schedules, faculty support and career counseling that will help students achieve their degrees in the shortest time possible.
"If we know we can do that and do it well then we're talking about a real cost savings to families," said Dr. Dunn.
The WMU Edge also requires a commitment from students to go to class, spend time in the library and do their homework
