Wyoming apartment shooting

WYOMING, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Two people were hurt early Saturday morning after they were shot while in an apartment complex in Wyoming.

Police were called to the Sunflower Apartments in the 3100 block of Byron Center Ave around 4 a.m. after neighbors heard gunshots.

Police said several people were in the apartment when they heard a knock at the door. Multiple gunshots were heard and several bullets penetrated the door, hitting two people.

A 20-year-old man from Grand Rapids was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The other victim was only slightly injured and did not need to go to the hospital.

Grand Rapids Police Officers were able to locate two suspects in a car shortly after the incident. The Wyoming Police Detectives questioned them regarding the incident and then released them. The investigation is ongoing.
