The area of low pressure in the upper atmosphere that has been spinning like a top over Lake Huron the past few days -- bringing chilly, gloomy, damp weather to West MIchigan -- is finally moving away. Good riddance! It isn't leaving quickly though, so it may take a few hours this morning before we begin to see the clouds breaking up. By afternoon, the clearing should be underway, and with the July sunshine, temperatures will respond quickly. Today's highs will still be shy of what is typical for this time of year, but they'll be the warmest temps we've had since last Monday.
The forecast looks good for the holiday weekend, with sunshine and warmer temperatures. Enjoy, and stay safe! Remember to stay with Newschannel 3 and wwmt.com for all the latest weather updates and information.
