Meijer Gardens to show off works of Dutch sculptor story image
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) - The works of Dutch sculptor Hanneke Beaumont are coming to Grand Rapids.
Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park says its display marks Beaumont's first major museum exhibition in the U.S.
Called "Connected and Disconnected: The Sculpture of Hanneke Beaumont," it opens to the public on Friday and will run until April 28.
Beaumont is known for her figurative work.
Her work in terra cotta, bronze and iron as well as a group of large-scale drawings are part of the exhibition.

NEW YORK (AP) -- A chance to hang out with George Clooney, a walk along the red carpet with Meryl Streep or a set visit to see "Game of Thrones" filmed. Those are among the experiences being offered as part of an effort to raise money to combat AIDS. Bono is running a campaign that would see those donating at least $10 to RED - the organization he has set up to fight the disease. The campaign begins today to mark World AIDS Day. Other experiences will see someone go on a bike ride with Bono. He says he will take the winner to the same spot where he had an accident last year that forced him into surgery, and off the road with his band, U2.

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Jimmy Kimmel is among those involved in World AIDS Day today. The comedian will dedicate his show tonight to the campaign led by Bono to fight the disease. On tonight's broadcast, he will join Olivia Wilde in selling off celebrity experiences in a mock-home-shopping channel setup. Celebrity guests will feature Tom Brady, who will teach a donor how to pass a football. Kimmel is including himself as a "prize." He says he's offering to give someone's kid "the talk."


LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Madi Davis is Team Pharrell's last hope on "The Voice." The 16-year-old Texas native is the only singer Pharrell Williams has left in the competition. Last night, she performed a highly stylized version of "Girls Just Want to Have Fun," which she also arranged. Williams says she's a phenomenal talent, with great potential. Team Blake's 17-year-old Zach Seabaugh had the girls going wild again. Blake Shelton says he's never heard screaming like that on the show before. Team Gwen's Korin Bukowski hopes she's able to stay out of the bottom two this week. She's already survived two instant Twitter votes. Tonight, the Top 10 is cut by one on The Voice.

NEW YORK (AP) -- "Spotlight" is getting major props at a New York City-based film festival. The movie about the reporting on sex abuse by Roman Catholic priests in Boston has won for best screenplay at the Gotham Independent Film Awards. It also won for best ensemble. Others honored were Paul Dano for his work in "Love & Mercy" and Bel Powley for "The Diary of a Teenage Girl."


ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) -- New UFC women's bantamweight champion Holly Holm is getting honored by her hometown of Albuquerque, New Mexico. She will have a parade on her behalf on Sunday. Holm won the belt from Ronda Rousey last month in Australia. Before that, Rousey had never been beaten in a match. The parade makes good on a promise by the city's mayor to celebrate Holm for winning the title, Aside from the parade, November was declared to be "Holly Holm Month."


MIAMI (AP) -- Marc Anthony and Jay-Z are two entirely different kinds of recording artists. But they have both branched out into the same line of work: as sports agents. Earlier this year, Anthony joined the Jay-Z in the business of representing athletes with the launch of his Mangus Media company. The group will represent baseball player Aroldis Chapman. The Cincinnati Reds reliever is the hardest throwing pitcher in the major leagues.
