Boy saves senior citizen from hot car

Updated: Tuesday, July 15, 2014

VESTAL, New York (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A 3-year-old boy is being called a hero after saving a senior citizen who was trapped in a hot car.

Bob King says he was trapped inside his car Saturday afternoon in Tennessee due to a malfunctioning lock, when 3-year-old Keith Williams happened to walk by.

King says he yelled at young Keith to get his attention, and the little boy went inside his church to tell his pastor.

"That was the only thing that was bothering me was being hot; I knew that sooner or later, I'd have somebody come out so they could unlock it for me," King said.

The toddler led the pastor outside to the locked car.

King says if it wasn't for Keith, he's not sure how long he would have been locked in the car.
