DENSE FOG ADVISORY

UNTIL 10 AM

The National Weather Service issues a DENSE FOG ADVISORY for all of West Michigan until 10 AM.  Many reports of dense fog already exist, and your visibility may become worse before noticeable improvements.  Recent rainfall, high moisture levels, especially near the ground, and light winds all combine to create fog.  Slowing down and increasing your stopping distance are a few ways to increase your safety while driving.

Concerns that humanitarian border crisis could become health crisis

Updated: Thursday, July 24, 2014

McALLEN, Texas (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - There's growing concern that a humanitarian crisis is quickly turning into a health crisis.

As immigrants are caught crossing the border illegally, the Department of Health and Human Services is in charge of medically screening and even vaccinating them.

The CDC says it is working with the health department and monitoring the situation, but no public health agency is tracking the spread of disease along the border.

Emily Baucum is in McAllen, Texas, to find out whether or not people should be worried.
