(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Hamas militants are still firing rockets toward Israel's main airport, but the FAA has lifted a ban on U.S.-based flights to and from the area.

Officials claim Israel is taking adequate steps to making flying safe for travelers.

Meanwhile Thursday, Palestinian authorities say Israeli tank shells hit a school in the Gaza strip that was being used as a United Nations shelter.

The attack left 15 people dead and dozens more wounded.
