HIGH WIND WARNING; WIND ADVISORY

WARNING Until 11 PM; ADVISORY Until 2 AM

The National Weather Service in northern Indiana issues a HIGH WIND WARNING in Berrien county until 11 PM for 60 mph, or higher, wind gusts.  65 mph gusts have already been confirmed in Michigan City.  

A WIND ADVISORY remains for nearly all of West Michigan until 2 AM.  45 mph to 55 mph gusts are likely and have already verified.  Downed tree branches and some power outages are possible.  The wind direction is from the north, and winds will easily be sustained in the 25 to 35 mph range.

ILLINOIS (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The father of a jail inmate says a visit to the Illinois facility left him as a prisoner, and now he's filing a lawsuit.

Farad Polk claims he spent more than 30 hours trapped in a concrete room earlier this month.

He was only freed after he broke a fire sprinkler to get someone's attention.

He says he spent hours trying to get someone to notice he was there.

The Jail Director says the room is hardly used, and was under repair at the time.

She admits mistake swere made, but says there simply are not enough guards to keep track of everyone.
