DENSE FOG ADVISORY

Until 10 AM

The National Weather Service issues a DENSE FOG ADVISORY for all of West Michigan until 10 AM.  Fog may linger in some locations until midday.  Light winds, ample moisture near the ground are encouraging the formation of dense fog.  Because temperatures are near freezing, a light coating of ice may form on some road surfaces making them slick.  Please keep it safe this morning as you head back to work and school.

Man suspected of shooting officers presumed dead story image

RIO GRANDE, Texas (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Authorities say a man suspected of shooting two Rio Grande, Texas police officers is "presumed dead."

Police say he died after police had to ram into the front door of the home where the suspect was barricaded.

They then filled the house with tear gas and opened fire.

A bomb squad still has to clear the house of booby-trapped explosives the suspect said he'd rigged.

Police say the two wounded officers and six others pinned down by gunfire have been rescued.
