CALIFORNIA (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - New details have been released in the deadly California crash between a FedEx tractor-trailer and charter bus.

Authorities say seven of the victims in April's crash died from asphyxiation from smoke inhalation.

Two others died of multiple traumas from the collision.

The cause of death for a 10th victim is being handled by the Sacramento County Medical Examiner's Office.

Authorities say that person died at a hospital burn unit.

The bus was carrying 44 students from southern California on their way to a free tour at a college.

Five students and three adult chaperones died, along with the drivers from both vehicles.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
