Air Force instructor headed to prison for rape

TEXAS (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - An Air Force instructor from south Texas is going to prison.

A military judge sentenced Staff Sergeant Eddy Soto to four-years for raping a female trainee.

He previously pleaded guilty to five-counts.

He was also dishonorably discharged after the military trial this weekend at joint base San Antonio-Lackland.

More than 30 Lackland instructors have been investigated in a military sex scandal. Soto is the ninth to be convicted.
