Emotional debate for Colorado's gun control package

COLORADO (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - In Colorado, a gun control package cleared the state Senate Monday after a full day of emotional debate.

The Senate gave final approval to five bills. They include a 15-round limit on ammunition magazines, expanded background checks and a ban on gun ownership for people accused of domestic violence.

The package cleared after democrats abandoned adding a bill to ban guns on college campuses and another to make gun owners and sellers legally liable for the weapons.

Four of the bills will head back to the House for further debate, but they are expected to pass.
