Funeral for drum majorette

CHICAGO (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The final funeral preparations are underway for a 15-year-old Chicago girl who was gunned down just days after performing as a drum majorette at President Obama's inauguration.

The White House now says First Lady Michelle Obama will attend that funeral service Saturday for Hadiya Pendleton.

Police say Pendleton was killed when a gunman hopped a fence and opened fire on a group of young people on Chicago's south side.

Detectives are still searching for her killer.
