BOSTON (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - In one of the most iconic images of the attacks Monday, a 78-year-old man was just about to cross the finish line of the Boston Marathon when two explosions forced him off his feet.
Tuesday morning we're learning that runner is Bill Iffrig.
Now he's talking about what that moment was like.
"I was just approaching the last straight-away to the finish line and I had a good day and was feeling really good, and I got down to within about 15 feet of the finishing apron and just tremendous explosion, sounded like a bomb went off right next to me, and the shock waves just hit my whole body and my legs just started jittering around," said Iffrig.
Bill says he didn't feel any pain, but he did have a scratch on his leg.
