EUROPE (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - New information coming in Tuesday morning about a brazen diamond heist overseas.

Police say a group of eight thieves crashed through a security fence at Brussels International Airport, drove up to a Swiss-bound plane and stole 22 pounds of diamonds from the cargo hold.

Those diamonds are worth millions.

Investigators say the thieves then drove off into the darkness.

Their burned out van was found a few hours later near the airport, but there was no sign of them.
