Bin Laden relative due in court

NEW YORK (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - One of Osama bin Laden's son-in-laws is due in a New York courtroom Friday to face federal charges.

Sulaiman Abu Ghaith is accused of conspiring to kill Americans.

He was captured in Jordan last week and brought here to the U.S. to face those charges.

This is a video of him with bin Laden released the day after the 9-11 attacks warning more Americans would die.

Some republican lawmakers say Sulaiman should have been sent to Guantanamo Bay as an enemy combatant and not New York, where he will be tried in a civilian court.
