Body found near bomb

ORLANDO, Fla. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Hundreds of students were cleared out of the campus of the University of Central Florida in Orlando after police found explosives in a dorm room.

University Police were called to the dorm just after midnight after a fire alarm went off.

When they arrived, they found a student dead, apparently of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

They also discovered an assault weapon, a handgun, and some sort of homemade bombs.

Police quickly evacuated the rest of the approximately 500 students in the dorm.

The school's arena was set up for the displaced students.

The university says there does not appear to be any immediate threat.
