Horse meat issue crosses to America story image
OKLAHOMA (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The horse meat scandal has crossed the ocean.

Lawmakers in Oklahoma say they want to pass a law that would allow horses to be slaughtered for meat.

The meat would then be shipped out of state or out of the country.

The proposal has some pretty upset.

Lawmakers say they have too many horses, and the proposal would give families who can no longer afford their horses an option out.

Humane or not, the bill is moving out of the Senate to be considered by the House.
