Man's obituary gains him Internet fame in death

Updated: Wednesday, March 13 2013, 12:11 AM EDT
(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A Mississippi man has gained Internet fame in death.

Harry Stamps' obituary has been linked more than 7,000 times on Facebook alone.

He died Saturday at 80 years of age.

His daughter wrote the tribute, calling him "a ladies man, foodie, and natty dresser," who "fancied smart women," and had a life-long love affair with deviled eggs and buttermilk in a martini glass.

She went on to say her dad hated daylight savings time, and probably died the day before he would have had to move his clock forward as a final protest.
