Mayor Bloomberg looking into dangers of ear buds

NEW YORK (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - First, he went after sugary large-sized drinks, and now, New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg is taking aim at ear buds.

He says too many young people are going deaf listening to loud music on their iPods, and he's putting $250,000 into a social media campaign to warn New Yorkers about the dangers.

Right now, it's just an educational campaign, but there's no word as to whether or not he would actually try to ban ear buds.
