NEW YORK (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A judge pumped the brakes Monday on a New York City drink size restriction.
The restriction was set to take effect Tuesday.
The rules prohibited selling non-diet soda and some other sugary beverages in containers bigger than 16 ounces.
It applied at places ranging from pizzerias to sports stadiums, but not at supermarkets, or convenience stores.
The judge who turned down the rule says the loopholes defeated its purpose.
