Over 1500 injured in Russian meteor strike

RUSSIA (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The number of those injured is rising is rising in the wake of last week's Russian meteor crash.

There are now nearly 1,500 confirmed injured.

Dozens more remain hospitalized.

Scientists have found more than 50 tiny fragments of the meteor that exploded over Russia's Ural Mountains with the power of dozens of atomic bombs.

Crews will continue to look for more pieces of the meteor.

Russia spent the weekend cleaning up from the impact.
