Penn. prison guard tries to shoot ring off his finger

(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A federal prison guard in Pennsylvania is facing charges for shooting his own finger during a drunken argument with his wife.

Police say Alfredo Malespini wanted to get his wedding ring off so badly that he tried to blow off his finger.

It didn't work.

The shot did mangle his finger, but the ring is still on it.
