Pistorius due in court on Tuesday story image
SOUTH AFRICA (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The mother of a model, police say was murdered by a celebrated Olympian, is demanding answers.

Oscar Pistorius is due in court on Tuesday in South Africa, the same day as Reeva Steenkamp's funeral.

The double amputee has been in jail since Thursday, charged with murder.

Investigators say that Steenkamp was shot in bed, then tried to hide in the bathroom.

Three more shots were fired through the door, hitting her as she covered her head with her hands.

Pistorius' father claims it was a tragic accident, that his son acted on instinct because he thought there was a burglar in the house.

Pistorius was the first amputee sprinter to compete at the Olympics, but now his legendary career is on hold.
