Plane crashes into family
WASHINGTON (NEWSCHANNEL 3) – A family in Washington is recovering from a frightening close call after a plane crashed into their house. Now federal investigators are working to learn what caused it.

Witnesses say they heard the engine sputtering and saw the propeller stop spinning before the aircraft flipped over and smashed into the home.

The family of the pilot is mourning his death as another man, the pilot's nephew, is recovering from his injuries.

He was a passenger on the plane and is currently listed in serious condition.

Investigators say it could take up to nine months to determine an official cause for the crash.
