Poll: Support for tighter gun control fading

(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A new CBS News poll shows that support for tighter gun control laws is fading.
This week, 47 percent said they favored tougher laws, down from 57 percent just after the Sandy Hook shootings.
Thursday, President Obama invited mothers who are pushing for stricter gun laws to the White House.
He's asking other Americans to keep the pressure on lawmakers to help prevent another mass-shooting tragedy.
The Senate is set to take up gun control legislation next month.
It does not include the assault weapons ban the White House is pushing for, but it does expand background checks.
Three Republican Senators have already said they plan to filibuster the bill.
