Republicans angered over leaked immigration proposal

(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Republicans are angry after a draft of the White House immigration reform proposal leaked over the weekend.

The White House claims it's only a backup plan, but Republicans claim the President is meddling.

The leaked proposal would allow some undocumented immigrants to become permanent residents within 8 years.

It would also boost funding for border security and require businesses to know the immigration status of their workers.
