Runners add new level of difficulty to marathon

Updated: Monday, February 18 2013, 08:59 PM EST
(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - As if running a marathon wasn't difficult enough, we've got a couple of runners to share with you.

A man in Florida ran the 26.2 mile course dribbling two basketballs the entire time.

The man, known as Doctor Dribble, finished the race in a little over 4.5 hours.

He says he was running for a South Florida organization that helps foster kids.

As though that wasn't enough, Michael Ball ran a marathon in Oklahoma carrying two car tires on his shoulders.

The 23-year-old started training with the tires a year ago.

He said he wanted to do something to push his mind and body to the absolute limit.
