Sen. McConnell fights back on 'twitter bullying'

(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell proved he wasn't intimidated by Twitter bullying.

Progress Kentucky, a liberal group, took to Twitter, making an issue of McConnell's wife's heritage.

It said McConnell's marriage "may explain why your job moved to China."

McConnel spoke out against the tweet during a dinner Saturday night, calling it a "racial attack."

Progress Kentucky has since removed the tweet and issued two apologies.
