KANSAS CITY, Mo. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A big snowstorm slapping the plains states is hampering the search for more possible victims of Tuesday night's fatal natural gas explosion at a popular Kansas City restaurant.

One person is still missing Thursday.

Investigators released a video of the explosion as it happened.

Officials were in the process of evacuating the building at the time.

The body of one victim has been recovered, and 15 victims were injured.

Neighbors say they started smelling gas more than an hour before the explosion.

"I could taste it," said one neighbor. "It was very strong.

The Fire Department actually did go to the scene 45 minutes before the explosion, but instead of ordering an evacuation, they left after discussing it with an employee of Missouri Gas Energy who was already on scene.

The gas company had no comment, as it continues to investigate.
