Zoo tries to get tortoises in the mood with piano music

Updated: Friday, February 8 2013, 08:27 AM EST
LONDON (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A world renowned piano player is using his musical stylings to try and get tortoises in the mood for love.

The London Zoo is trying to get its Galapagos tortoises to mate since they're an endangered species, but they don't seem to be feeling frisky.

So the zoo brought in Richard Clayderman to play some music and try to set the mood.

He played for about an hour, but the tortoises weren't feeling it.

In their defense, they're about 70 years old.
