7 more meningitis cases linked to steroid injections

(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Meningitis cases linked to tainted steroids are continuing to pop up across Michigan.
The Department of Community Health says there are 7 new infections linked to contaminated injections from a Massachusetts pharmaceutical company.
That brings the total number of fungal meningitis cases in Michigan to 256 since the outbreak began.
The steroids were used in injections to treat neck and back pain.
At least 16 of the victims in Michigan have died.
