LANSING, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Lawmakers in Lansing are moving forward with a plan to create specialized ID's for military veterans.
The state House approved a bill that would allow veterans to get a special designation on their driver's license or state ID.
This would make it much easier for them to show they're qualified for certain services and resources.
They would just have to provide the Secretary of State's Office with proof of honorable discharge and the new ID would be issued.
The bill now goes to the state Senate.
