LANSING, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Tuesday Governor Snyder will sign a bill into law to fund a new state agency to help veterans collect the money they are owed.
Michigan's veteran population is the eleventh largest in the nation, but the state ranks last in federal money spent per person on services provided through the VA such as medical treatment, pensions and employment assistance.
The new law will pour $3-million into the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency which Snyder created with an executive order in January.
