THREE RIVERS, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - We're expecting to learn more about sex assault charges against a one-time teacher in West Michigan.

The suspect was arrested at a home in Three Rivers on Saturday, and is facing three counts of felony sexual assault.

St. Joseph County deputies say he is expected to be arraigned Monday afternoon.

At this time, he is not being named, as he has not been formally charged.

Sources have told Newschannel 3 that the man was a teacher in multiple school districts across West Michigan, and was even a principal at one, and multiple sources have said he is a volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Newschannel 3 is diligently working to confirm that information, however, and a Big Brothers Big Sisters official in Kalamazoo stated that they had no record of the man as a volunteer or employee.

We do know at this point that the suspect is a former teacher in Constantine and Three Rivers.

On Saturday, Newschannel 3 was on the scene as the man was led from his house in handcuffs.

A Three Rivers Sergeant said that they were there to assist Constantine Police.

Newschannel 3 also found a warrant issued Saturday from Constantine Police for three counts of sexual assault, and saw investigators walk out with bags full of evidence, which included a GPS.

Detectives also searched the garage and even searched under stones in the outside walkway.

Neighbors say State Police were also searching the home on the Fourth of July, and we're told they were there earlier this month to investigate a criminal sexual conduct allegation.

Parents who live in the area say they want answers.

"I'd just like to know if there's anything going on involving kids we need to know," said neighbor Cassandra Foghino.

A second location was also searched during the investigation.
