GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A Van Buren County man has been sentenced for selling guns without a license.

66-year-old David Grant Rainey was sentenced in federal court Wednesday. He got two years of supervised release, with one year to be served as home confinement, following his felony conviction. He was also fined $4,000.

Rainey also had to forfeit 71 firearms and some 94,000 rounds of ammunition.

The case was the result of a two and a half month undercover investigation by the Van Buren County Sheriff's Dept. and the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
