Finalist for Portage Superintendent job withdraws

PORTAGE, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The sole finalist for the superintendent job at Portage Public Schools has now removed his name from consideration.
Greg Gray announced during a during a school board meeting Monday night in Brighton that he plans to stay with that district.
Last week the Portage School Board chose Gray as its only finalist for superintendent and he came for a public interview.
He was scheduled to have another public interview in Portage later this week, but reportedly decided to stay in Brighton after talking it over with his family.
We'll continue to follow Portage Public Schools search for a superintendent as they now try to find a new candidate.
