DENSE FOG ADVISORY

UNTIL 10 AM

The National Weather Service issues a DENSE FOG ADVISORY for all of West Michigan until 10 AM.  Many reports of dense fog already exist, and your visibility may become worse before noticeable improvements.  Recent rainfall, high moisture levels, especially near the ground, and light winds all combine to create fog.  Slowing down and increasing your stopping distance are a few ways to increase your safety while driving.

(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - If you're planning on setting off fireworks today, make sure you check the label.

Hundreds of fountain fireworks are being recalled.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission says a product called "The Big Sword" can unexpectedly explode and burn the user.

A company out of Lansing distributes the fireworks and they were sold at fireworks stores in April and June.

If you have them, do not use them. You can return them for a full refund.
