WEST MICHIGAN (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A new report is taking a look at how pure the air is in Michigan.
The information is coming from the American Lung Association. It looks at levels of ozone and particle pollution found in official monitoring sites across the United States and then breaks that information down county by county.
On a grading system from A to F, Kalamazoo County scored a C-rating when it comes to high ozone days, but a passing B-grade when it comes to particle pollution.
The grades are reversed in Ottawa County, which saw a D for ozone and an A for almost no pollution.
Allegan Co. failed completely for ozone, but also saw no pollution.
Kent County walked the middle line with a C and B grade
