(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The Better Business Bureau wants to warn flooding victims of so-called 'storm chasers.'
These are out-of-town contractors who promise to help, but in the end, will rip you off.
The BBB says to look out for contractors who pressure you to hire them on the spot, or to make sure the contractor's vehicle displays the business name, phone number, and license plates for your state.
Remember, all contractors must be registered with the State of Michigan, and they can be checked through the state online or by phone.
