LAKE EFFECT SNOW ADVISORY

UNTIL 9 PM

The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids issues a LAKE EFFECT SNOW ADVISORY for Oceana, Muskegon, Ottawa, Allegan, Van Buren, Kalamazoo, Berrien, Cass, and St. Joe counties until 9 PM.  2" to 6" of snow are possible on northwest winds of 15 to 20 mph bringing lake effect snow bands near and across US 131, at times.  Some locations will see more than 6", especially closer to Lake Michigan.  Roads are slippery and become more tricky once the sun sets.

WEST MICHIGAN (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Health officials in Branch and St. Joseph Counties say they're seeing an increase in cases of norovirus.

They warn everyone to take extra precautions to protect themselves.

If you are sick, they're asking you to stay home from work or school.

If you don't have the virus, you are advised to protect yourself by washing your hands often.
