COOPER TOWNSHIP, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Department is releasing information about a weekend attack where a woman is accused of trying to run her estranged husband down with her car repeatedly.
Deputies tell us a 22-year-old woman became upset after separating with her husband. They say the two got into a fight around 12:30 Saturday morning and she drove not only to his house, but right into his house.
The man lives in the 2900 block of McKinley Street in Cooper Township.
We're told the man walked outside after the crash. That's when the woman hit him with the car and again rammed into his home.
He tried to get away, but instead she hit him with her car again, and while he was on the hood of the car, drove into the house one more time.
The woman then sped away and crashed her car a few blocks away.
The woman was taken to Borgess Hospital with serious injuries.
Her estranged husband was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries and was later released.
