Deputy to be sentenced for stealing pain meds

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A Saint Joseph County deputy is scheduled to learn his sentence Monday for stealing prescription pain killers from the jail.
The theft happened in January.
Prosecutors say Stephen Morris stole the prescription medication Tramadol that was supposed to go to two inmates in the jail.
Last month Morris pleaded guilty to two counts of misdemeanor larceny in exchange for more serious theft charges being dropped.
Morris has been on unpaid administrative leave since the incident.
