The National Weather Service has issued a WIND ADVISORY for West Michigan, effective from 10 am today (Friday) through 2 am tomorrow. During the Advisory period, wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph are possible, with the strongest gusts likely near the Lakeshore. Stay with Newschannel 3 and wwmt.com for the latest weather updates.

eBus providing financial help in Kalamazoo County

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) -  Low income Kalamazoo county residents looking for help with a number of financial issues can get it over the next 2 days.

Fifth Third Bank Financial Empowerment eBus is designed to go into neighborhoods where people need the most help, so they can get services they need all in one place.

The bus is a project between Fifth Third Bank and 13 community organizations.

The eBus is a 40-foot mobile meeting place that takes the services directly into low to moderate income communities.

Friday and Saturday people can get help with housing, foreclosure prevention, employment, home repair, health care.. and can even get help signed up for department of human services benefits.

The eBus will be partnering with Community Homeworks, Consumers Energy, Department of Human Services, Fair Housing Center of Southwest Michigan, Family Health Center, Goodwill Industries of Southwest Michigan, Gryphon Place/211, Housing Resources, Inc., Kalamazoo County Land Bank, Kalamazoo Neighborhood Housing Services, Inc., Michigan Works! PATH Program, The Salvation Army and the United Way of Battle Creek and Kalamazoo Region,

The events are free and open to the public.

They are Friday, June 20 from 11 AM to 3 PM at Park Street Market, 512 N. Park Street and Saturday, June 21 from 10 AM to 2 PM at Town & Country Center, 1824 Portage Street eBus providing financial help in Kalamazoo County
