(NEWSCHANNEL 3) - The Waste Watch team has taken aim at the IRS.

The agency holds Americans responsible for their tax dollars, but a new audit shows the agency sometimes spends some of those dollars on employee perks.

The Treasury Inspector General reported some numbers on Tuesday that may interest you.

The IRS spent around $11 million in 2011 on 35,000 aircards--high-speed wireless cards--and 4,400 Blackberrys for employees.

The Inspector General also found that 1,400 of the aircards and 754 Blackberrys were not used once over a span of 3 months.

45 of those aircards, and 68 Blackberrys were not used for the entire year.

The IRS claims to have improved tracking of unused devices, but disagrees with many of the Inspector General's claims.
